News | AIA Life Designers Visits ADB Headquarters in the Philippines for Regional Exchange
-

During the week of September 21, Yang Hai, Group Partner of AIA Life Designers and General Manager of China, together with Nicolas Senly, Executive Director for Southeast Asia & Oceania, visited Asian Development Bank (ADB) headquarters in Manila, Philippines, for a series of professional exchanges focused on social and environmental challenges in urban development and infrastructure.
Key activities included meetings with ADB representatives, public and private sector stakeholders across ASEAN, and industry experts. These discussions provided insights into ADB-supported projects, financing mechanisms, implementation requirements, and regional development priorities.

The visit deepened AIA LD’s understanding of local conditions across Asia and the financing frameworks required to deliver transparent, sustainable, and impactful projects. Leveraging its expertise in architecture, urban planning, and engineering, AIA LD aims to contribute practical strategies for infrastructure and development projects that address local needs while supporting long-term resilience.

AIA LD’s teams in Shanghai and Singapore are continuing to expand their presence in ASEAN, with a focus on challenges related to rapid urbanization, population growth, and climate change. Building on this exchange, the firm looks forward to maintaining dialogue with ADB and other partners on infrastructure development, public facilities, project governance, and innovative implementation approaches.
AIA LD extends its sincere thanks to Anna Austria Lemay and Méline Hardy-Puig, advisors at ADB, for their support, as well as Donatienne Hissard, Ambassador of France to the Philippines, for the valuable discussions on regional development and AIA LD’s ongoing initiatives across Southeast Asia.
The team looks forward to strengthening regional partnerships and exploring future collaboration opportunities throughout ASEAN.
