AlA Life Designers x Young Creatives - Facing Real Challenges Head-On

On June 18, the inaugural NACAATHON 2026 design workshop was held at the China Academy of Art – Nantes Design Joint Institute. Dalius Gutauskas, Creative Director of AIA LD Shanghai, served as a jury member alongside experts from design, technology, education, and manufacturing, reviewing student projects and providing professional insights to young innovators.
Under the theme "Design the Future," over 70 students from Art & Technology, Environmental Design, and Product Design formed interdisciplinary teams to simulate a design agency. The event included fast‑pitch sessions, a talent fair, and networking. Student projects addressed real‑world challenges with commercial solutions, blending design thinking and business acumen.
The event successfully connected academia and industry. AIA LD remains committed to integrating design education with practice. We thank the China Academy of Art – Nantes Design Joint Institute for the invitation. It was an inspiring experience, and we look forward to seeing NACAATHON grow even further.
