Recently, the Centre Pompidou in Paris released a video titled "Le Centre Pompidou vous donne rendez-vous en 2030," announcing that it will undergo a transformative, large-scale renovation and that it officially closed its doors on September 22nd to facilitate this project.
The project is set to commence in early 2026 and has been entrusted to a consortium of three international architecture firms: AIA Life Designers, MOREAU KUSUNOKI, and Taller Frida Escobedo.As one of the key participants, AIA Life Designers is honored to contribute to this landmark cultural endeavor. This initiative represents not only an architectural renewal but also a profound dialogue integrating technology, environment, and culture.
The project aims to:
- Technically and environmentally renovate the building to optimize energy efficiency and improve accessibility;
- Reimagine the spatial arrangement of the museum collections and the Public Information Library (Bpi);
- Optimize functional distribution to allow greater freedom for artistic creation and interdisciplinary exchange.
"Centre Pompidou 2030" will return as a renewed focal point of urban life—a more open, innovative, and dynamic cultural hub, continuing to inspire and surprise the world. Guided by the integrated vision of "Architecture · Humanity · Technology," AIA Life Designers will collaborate with the international team to breathe new life into this unique cultural landmark.
We extend our gratitude to @Laurent Le Bon and his team for their trust. We are fully committed to writing this new chapter together for the Centre Pompidou.
